Increasing Company's Logistics Activity Efficiency due to Warehouse Processes Automation

Nowadays the development of automated technologies lets people to integrate them in various areas of businesses. The logistics sphere requires accurate control of costs. Due to this fact all logisticians try to integrate automated technologies in their area, also in warehousing. This study is written to aggregate studies about warehouse automation. It means that development of warehousing presumes implementing automation in processes that exist in a warehouse. Several subtopics are described in this paper, such as a comparison of doing the job by human labor and by automated technologies. Moreover, some basic processes implemented in each warehouse are described, and this paper is created to show how these processes can be automated to improve efficiency. Also, there is an economic calculation of investment validity. This diploma work can be used for top-managers of logistics who plan to make warehouses automated. Also, it can be useful for people, who are interested in warehousing processes automation.
