Given the intense competition in the market, it is especially important for companies to ensure continuous improvement of business processes. Process Mining is an innovative product, which is a process analysis method aimed at detecting, monitoring and improving real processes by extracting information from event logs contained in the organization’s information systems. However, breakthrough technologies like Process Mining at the initial stage of their development do not always justify the expectations placed on them. In this regard, it is important to be able to look into the near future of technology in order to prevent its collapse or to protect itself from unprofitable investments. The purpose of this work is to assess the possible trends in the development and practical application of the Process Mining technology for the next 5-7 years. In the course of the study, three main directions for the development of Process Mining technology were considered: possible changes in the Process Mining services market, the expected development of software for Process Mining, and the changing role of human participation in the implementation of Process Mining projects (the question of technology automation threshold). In order to obtain information on the main directions of technology development, in addition to studying the existing literature on the topic, a survey of regional experts was also conducted. Part of the interview was conducted in person, part - with the help of an online survey. As a result of the work, all the tasks were solved, a picture of the expected appearance of the Process Mining technology for the next 5-7 years was formulated, and a list of recommendations for Process Mining market participants was made.
