Despite the fact that there are many studies of electoral behavior, there is no consensus on how to transform the historically formed in the country split "center-periphery" in a situation of socio-political instability: voters living close to the conflict zone become more loyal to the new regime, to isolate themselves from the conflict zone and prevent its spread on their territory or in the border areas to the conflict, the existing split is exacerbated and opposition sentiments to the new government are growing. Thus, the aim of the study is to identify the nature of the transformation of the split "center-periphery" in Ukraine in the period of socio-political instability.
