Communication Strategy as a Factor of Protest Effectiveness

Student: Ilin Egor

Supervisor: Egor Yureskul

Faculty: Faculty of Social Sciences

Educational Programme: Political Science (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2019

Protests are one of the most significant topics in political science. However, when there is a large amount of work exploring what leads to protests and what may be their effect, information about what is happening inside the protest is practically non-existent. At the same time, there are a number of works that allow you to look at the protest from a different angle, not only as of the performance of people dissatisfied with something but also as an organized activity that has its goals and strategy. As part of this work, an attempt was made to understand the specifics of organized protests a little better and see how the type of communication strategy of a certain protest can be related to how effective this action will be.
