In connection with the imposition of sanctions on Russia by the countries of the EU, the USA and Canada, Russia resorted to retaliatory measures. One of these was the food embargo. Based on the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated August 6, 2014 No. 560. and the Food Security Doctrine of the Russian Federation, it can be concluded that the policy of phasing out imports plays an important role in the long term. Short-term and short-term development of the Russian economy is a key factor in ensuring food security.
