Law Protection of the Character of the Work in Cyber Age

This work describes the features of the regulation of copyright protection on the character of the work: the historical background of the protection of the character separately from the work, the definition of the character of the work, its main features, as well as various approaches to the protection of the rights to the character in Russia and foreign countries, and also pays some attention to the prospect of legal regulation of this problem in Russia. The paper deals with both General features of legal protection and special cases related to specific types of the character of the work.
