Formation of Supply and Demand for Event Managers in the Field of Leisure Market
Management
(Bachelor’s programme)
2019
In the last 20 years the usage of event management in Russia increased dramatically. A huge number of agencies and private owners appeared, and the events themselves are becoming more diverse and large-scale. With this growth came the need for specially trained people. And there were too many willing. As demand creates supply, special educational institutions began to appear everywhere, including universities and special courses. Some of them were fake and did not sell what they promised. This is how public opinion emerged that learning event management is useless and does not have any benefit. But still, aspiration of people does not end, and there is come the second problem. Does the Russian labor market fit all the applications? Or vice versa, there are still not enough employees.
