Master's dissertation is devoted to the study of political socialization in schools in Moscow. The theoretical part of the study reveals the theoretical and methodological foundations of the study of political socialization with the help of: D. Easton and J. Dennis, E. Durkheim, T. Parsons, P. Berger and T. Lukman, L. Althusser, E. Giddens. As part of the study, a two-tier model was developed for analyzing the practices of political socialization at school. The first level - the lessons of the humanities (social studies, history of Russia, literature). The second level - social and political activities in the framework of extracurricular activities. During the empirical phase of the study, a series of semi-structured interviews with current teachers of six schools in the city of Moscow was conducted. The main ways of political socialization in these educational institutions were identified and analyzed. An additional method of data collection was the analysis of textbooks on the History of Russia and Social Studies. In conclusion, the WRC emphasizes that in schools in the city of Moscow, an increase in additional classes aimed at civic education of students is necessary.
