The relevance of the study of the tax system due to the high importance of tax revenues in all levels of budgets. It is taxes that create a budget surplus that makes it possible to increase government spending on improving various spheres of society, raising the standard of living and ensuring the development of the whole country. At the same time, an increase in tax revenues is not a simple task due to the presence of the shadow sector, therefore, ensuring the growth of tax payments is feasible after a comprehensive analysis and study of many factors. In addition, since the economic situation in the country is constantly influenced by various processes and is quite unstable, it is very important to have an idea for the future by building different econometric models and choosing the best in a given situation. The novelty of this research work lies in a comprehensive statistical analysis of tax revenues from 1999 to 2018 for the main types of taxes in the consolidated budget of the Russian Federation, modeling and building a predictive model of these types of taxes with due regard for the influence of internal and external factors.
