The Specifics of International Companies' Governmental Relations in the European Union and in the United States

Over the years, a steady increase in the number of transnational firms using lobbying and Corporate Political Activities (CPA) as the heart of their governmental relationship with the United States of America and the European Union has occurred. This poses the question of the independence of both administration against those corporate interests. Therefore, this paper examine CPAs illustrated by the case of Amazon in order to to demonstrate the impact of lobbying practices of transnational firms on the policy-making processes of the EU and the USA.
