From Underwear to Outwear: Sartorial Changes and Transformations of Sensibility

Master thesis: «From Underwear to Outwear: Sartorial Changes and Transformations of Sensibility» consists of introduction, two chapters, conclusion on the first and second chapter, conclusion and reference list. Object of issue is item of clothing — underwear. Subject of issue is transformation in wearing and representation of underwear and its reaching beyond the costume. The aim is to identify which premises in transformation of sensibility affected on the demonstration of underwear. In the introduction severed the relevance of the chosen theme and discripted the aims and tasks. In the first chapter is described research theories, which are connected to the chosen phenomena. The transformation of discipline models, affect theory, from underwear to outwear as a provocation and economic changes that takes part as premises to wearing underwear as outwear. In the second chapter considered historical context that led this changes. As case study were chosen «Moulin Rouge», subcultures of punks and hip-hop and penetration of bottom as outer to the Haute-couture fashion and as a result to the mass-market. In conclusion we summarize accomplished work and formalize findings that we discovered during our thesis. The work consists of 86 pages, 2 tables, 1 application and 37 pictures. Total used references — 59.
