The present work is an actual research in the field of integral Photonics. The purpose of the work is to investigate the planar optical waveguide Mach-Zehnder in-terferometer based on silicon. The first Chapter of the work is devoted to the literature review: the elements of integral optics are studied. The second Chapter describes the model, which is calculat-ed using the program COMSOL Multiphysics in the wave optics module. The last part of the work is devoted to the processing and analysis of the results of measure-ments of a set of test structures of the Mach-Zehnder interferometer on the chip. This study has the following results: a model of the directional coupler in the software COMSOL Multiphysics and the dependence of the length of the directional coupler on the distance between the waveguides at a wavelength of 1550 nm; the re-sults of measurements of a set of test structures of Mach-Zehnder interferometers. The results of measurements and simulations were analyzed.
