The happiness of the population and the level of satisfaction with life directly affect attitudes in society. In recent years, an increase in social tensions has been observed in Russia, primarily due to prolonged stagnation in the economy since 2008. Studying the “Paradox of Easterlin” problem can contribute to the development of mechanisms to prevent social tensions, which justifies the relevance of the chosen topic. It is impossible not to mention the importance of studying the topic of causality of life satisfaction for the modernization of the socio-economic system of the state.
