Nikolai Erdman`s Drama and its Reception in Eastern Europe During the Second Part of the XX Century

The following research aims to consider the way Nikolay Erdman`s drama was precepted in Western and Eastern Europe in terms of Germany and Poland. The key materials for this work supposed to be two types of sources: • critical reviews, which are cohered to the stage productions of “Mandat” and “The Suicide” • German and Polish translations of “The Suicide” and in this case comparative method supposed to be the most essential aspect of the consideration. The main purpose of the represented paper is to compare the very specific perception of Erdman`s play in order to emphasize distinctive aspects along with clarifying the nature of such modifications.
