Understanding people’s behavior is an important skill in business that can give an individual or a company an advantage towards achieving an agreement with the other party or simply predicting the next move of their partner or nemesis. When it comes down to business negotiations, understanding cultural differences and must be prioritized in order to achieve success in doing business with international companies. This paper’s goal is to analyze the main cultural differences in working with Chinese and German partners and coming to mutual understanding. The research provides results by examining interviews from people in companies who have had experience in negotiations with Chinese or German partners or both. As a result, a list of recommendations and suggestions proposed in this paper can be used by companies or individuals to gain important knowledge in understanding cultural differences and ways to approach it between Russia-China and Russia-Germany business negotiations.
