The theme of the author’s diploma is the branding of the lingerie shop named Rochel. The first part of this project is visual research, which is supposed to help in finding the concept and philosophy of the brand Rochel. The main purpose of the visual research was to create a general picture of the history of underwear advertising. It was important to understand how this type of advertising changed during the last 150 years, to see common trends amongst lingerie brands and how they were trying to distinguish themselves from each other. In order to answer all the relevant questions, research was divided chronologically into chapters taking into account the main lingerie brands.
