Statistical Analysis of the Popularity of Posts in Social Networks on the Example of Instagram

This study gives a detailed idea of ​​what Instagram is and how it functions, in particular for people who are not users of this platform. The main goal of the work is to get closer to understanding the mechanisms that form the level of popularity of publications within the social network Instagram, as a discrete element of content visualization provided by all users of this platform. In particular, the study of the possibility of predicting the level of popularity of individual posts by statistical and economic methods through the analysis of empirical factors affecting the number, as the most objective coverage index of the target audience, as well as the question of the degree of influence of factors of the popularity of the user publishing the publication that are external to Instagram, such as professional achievements in the areas of thematically correlated with the content vector of the profile within the service being studied, as well as to formulate recommendations for improving the methodological approach in the framework of research on the dependence of the popularity level of an Instagram post on various factors.
