The paper examines the history of the establishment and activity of the Museum Managment Association in the Besieged Leningrad. The study analyzes evacuation of suburban palaces-museums, the process of storing museum pieces, the scientific work of museum employees and the process of palaces restoring in the first period after the Siege. Particular attention is paid to the comparison of official documents and reports with the memories of the museum staff. The work found the contradictions between the sources, as well as interesting facts not only about the work of the Museum Managment Association, but also about the besieged life and relationships within the group. It is believed that the work will contribute to the study of the cultural life of Besieged Leningrad and create new research questions.
