The Adaptation Features of Different Generations
Adaptation is an important element of the personnel management system. Managers of Russian companies do not pay enough attention to the process of personnel adaptation that is why newcomers are forced to work in the same conditions as experienced employees. Moreover, they often develop an adaptation program for all employees equally without taking into account the peculiarities of different generations. This due to a large number of problems starting with low efficiency and ending with the employee leaving the organization. This study is devoted to the improvement of the existing adaptation program taking into account intergenerational differences. The study used Shein’s ֞Career Anchors ֞, Rebecca L. Oxford’s ֞Analytical Review of the Learning Style֞ and ֞The Satisfaction Assessment of the Adaptation Program֞ survey based on an analysis of literature and information received from the company. The study revealed that representatives of different generations have significant differences in career orientations. The overall results of the work are an improved adaptation program for representatives of the generations of Baby Boomers, X and Y.
