Alternative Dispute Resolution: Concept, Features, Advantages and Disadvantages

In recent decade, the question about alternative dispute resolution involvement in civil and arbitration proceedings has been particularly discussed at the legislative level. While the international community resolves conflicts in an alternative way, the Russian society remains disinterested and does not accept such innovative and civilized institution due to some essence misunderstanding. Based on legal framework, as well as judicial and overseas practice analysis this research includes comparison of the ADR definition, development trend evaluation, its place and role in civil proceedings. This paper attempts to accumulate the data on ADR procedures benefits and drawbacks in order to reveal the most efficient and appropriate alternative method for current legal relationship.
