The practical significance of this master's degree dissertation is associated with the problem of the organization of the process of creating a modern mobile city guide application. In this paper we have studied the theoretical aspects of content creation used in the development of a mobile application - guide, identified current problems and analyzed the practice of using multimedia materials in travel guide applications, for example, software products such as: 1.)TopTripTip Russia, publisher: Appreal Group, 2015 2.)Moscow guide, publisher: Lonely Planet, 2016 3.)izi.TRAVEL guide - travel guide, publisher: Informap Technology Center, 2012 In the first chapter I discussed the main concepts of the research topic, defines the goals, objectives, describes the methods of analysis as historically developed theories of mediaphilosophy and practice approach in developing media content. In the second chapter we analyzed the features of software development in the development of its own application - guide and the impact on its work on the example of Moscow. The main purpose of the study was to provide information about the tourism potential of the capital of Russia in different formats in the application. In our work we identified the problems of content development and came to the conclusion that there are lots of opportunities for the development of travel guide applications in Russia. In addition, we made new content for the application such as a paper guide in Russian and English, short videos and new headings.
