Practical relevance. The fall in real incomes of the population and increased competition makes it necessary to optimize the location of bricks and mortar stores. The development of digital technologies has increased the efficiency of the process of collecting and analyzing data to solve this problem through the use of geographic information systems (GIS). The integration of practitioners into the learning process is a required condition for creating a world-class business school. The purpose of the thesis is the development of an educational-methodical complex (EMC) for the course "Location". The tasks of the thesis are the development of (1) guidelines for homework, (2) per-minute seminars necessary for organizing the team work of the teaching staff, (3) theoretical course material (presentations and discussion texts in the audience), (4) interactive tests to control the mastering of knowledge, (5) the format of receiving feedback, (6) a refined course program. Methods. In the methodological guidelines for homework, each step of working with the selected (ArcGIS) software was described. The theoretical material of this EMC was created from literary sources, as well as the experience of guest practitioners, and was completely subordinate to the tasks of mastering practical skills. For the formation of per-minute plans, 1) the skills and knowledge gained during each lesson were detailed, 2) students' activities in the audience were determined, 3) the roles of the teaching staff (theorist, retail practices, GIS practices, educational assistant) were distributed; 4) timing is defined. To control the acquisition of knowledge of receiving feedback, the online platform menti.com was chosen. Value. (1) mastering the software used by retailers; (2) the subordination of the transfer of theoretical knowledge to the process of mastering practical skills; (3) teamwork of teachers in each lesson; (4) active learning technologies.
