Statistical Analysis of the Education Influence on Salary in Russia

This study is conducted in order to investigate whether and to what extent an obtained educational stage and other factors influence one’s salary in Russia. The research is intended to contribute to the findings of previous papers and studies, which were used to define possible aspects affecting salary. The analysis is based on estimation of the modified Mincer’s earning function with the use of quantile regression with fixed effects for longitudinal data. It is expected that the implementation of this analysis would help to determine the significance of the factors included in the model, most importantly, the educational stage, for the wage formation, and to identify specific patterns for low-income and high-income groups.
