Charging technologies have become crucial in the implementation of the projects on urban transport electrification. Proper organization of the charging infrastructure for electric vehicles is one of the key tasks for a successful transition from traditional to electric transport. In this paper, an approach for optimization of the existing charging infrastructure and solving the problem of uneven and differentiated demand is proposed: the usage of universal charging stations to serve electric vehicles with different electric vehicle charging technologies. The model allows to estimate the costs of the charging infrastructure reorganization. The information can be used by the city administration and transport operators, who have a task to optimize the charging system of urban public and private electric transport. The purpose of the work is not to design a tool for practical calculations, but to demonstrate the fundamental possibility of building a tool for estimation of the costs for building a charging stations and a depot network to serve the urban electric transport.
