The work examines the vehicle routing problem using heuristic and meta-heuristic algorithms. The solution to this problem is the set of two optimal drivers’ routes. The further study is the analysis of the relationship between routes and traffic conditions. According to the designed metric for comparing two tours the sequence of visiting customers does not depend on the travel time. Additionally, the mechanism of route transformation was applied. To sum up, the main practical contribution of this work is the delivery process optimization which resulted in the transportation cost savings.
