Comparative Analysis of Migrant Integration Policy in Germany and France

The first chapter of the master's thesis discusses the main models of integration policy and describes approaches to measuring migrant integration. The second chapter is devoted to the history of migration and integration policy formation in Germany and France. In this chapter, we also examined the composition of migration flows and highlighted the main components of integration policies in both countries. The third chapter provides a comparative analysis of integration policies of Germany and France and assesses the effectiveness of the process of migrant integration by using Migrant Integration Policy Index (MIPEX), Multiculturalism Policy Index (MPI), approaches of Eurostat and of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. The work uses an extensive information database: the UN and Eurostat data; Migrant Integration Policy Index (MIPEX) database; OECD database on migration; data of the national statistical offices of Germany and France.
