Student: Lukin Ilya

Supervisor: Vladimir Samodurov

Faculty: Faculty of Computer Science

Educational Programme: Software Engineering (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2019

Pushchino Radio Astronomy Observatory of Russian Academy of Science is a powerful tool which has unique opportunities for detecting a wide range of celestial events. However, in reason of lack of financing Observatory is in dire need of software which could automatize the process of solving the Observatory’s tasks. The main purpose of this work is to develop a software which will process and classify data stored in the period between 2014 and 2018. This will allow the Observatory to make a powerful leap in the task of detecting celestial objects and will provide a basis for developing software capable of processing incoming data in a real time mode. Keywords: PRAO, radio astronomy, classification task, Fourier transform
