Client-server Application for “Žiwa Assistant” Service

Medication non-adherence is considered to be a significant public healthcare issue, which has a tremendous negative influence on the effectiveness of the treatment and causes financial problems in healthcare systems around the world. There are many ways to fail the intake process, such as the omission of doses, wrong timing, premature discontinuation of medication, taking outdated medications, etc. Each of these can lead to troubles such as deterioration of the health condition or unforeseen expenses for new drugs and additional treatment. A client-server application for for “Žiwa Assistant” service was developed to help users manage their home medkit and comply with the established schedule of taking medicines. In addition, program of collecting reference data from the Apteka.ru site was implemented. The paper contains 35 pages, 3 chapters, 13 illustrations, 4 tables, 31 bibliography items, 4 appendices.
