Nowadays reputation of any natural or legal person doing business is one of the key points of its successful enterprise. In this regard, there is a need to protect this phenomenon by means specified in the legislation. This study presents a mechanism for protecting the business reputation of business entities, analyzes the judicial and extrajudicial forms of protection of business reputation, the practice of their application. As a result of the research, it was established that along with the appeal of the interested person to the court, effective protection of violated rights can be carried out without applying to the judicial authorities. The study also proposes ways to solve problems related to compensation for intangible harm by business entities by amending the existing rules of law.
