This Master thesis is dedicated to the research of the word order features in Russian word combinations and sentences and of the major difficulties and mistakes of RFL learners. The research part of the paper presents a detailed analysis and classification of about 1000 examples with mistakes from the written subcorpus of the educational corpus RLC by the internal tag 'Word Order'. The first chapter deals with the errors of RLF learners connected with the peculiarities of the word order in context-independent sentences and with the peculiarities of the Topic-Focus Articulation. The second chapter describes the mistakes in the word order in different types of word combinations in the Verb Phrase (VP) and Noun Phrase (NP). The third chapter is devoted to the mistakes connected with the wrong location of adverbial constructions and functional parts of speech. The thesis may be used by methodologists and teachers of Russian as a foreign language. The described language phenomena and the internal tagging system may be used as a guide for marking the RLC corpora.
