The female advantage in life expectancy is observed all over the world, but in Russia the gender gap in life expectancy is maximal, which has a negative impact on the women socio-economic status and promotes the spread of orphanhood. We analyzed the structure of the differences in life expectancy between men and women by age groups and causes of death in the dynamics from 1990 to 2017 in Russia, as well as in comparison with a number of countries.
