Verbs in Narratives by Bilingual Children Ages 6 to 7

The paper deals with errors in the use of verbs made by bilingual children in speech. The study was conducted on the material of narratives, for which animated cartoons with a dynamic plot became the stimulus material. The analysis reveals a hierarchy of grammatical categories of the verb, the formation of which is accompanied by the greatest difficulties for bilingual children. Also there was made comparison of bilingual errors with errors that occur in Russian monolingual speech. The conclusion is made about the peculiarities of the mutual influence of two language systems in the mind of bilingual children.
