This study is devoted to exploring the media point of view of Vietnam and the United States on Vietnamese-American relations. The work identifies methodological approaches and principles for the study of international relations, as well as features of the American and Vietnamese media systems. The research also includes an analysis of the content of articles in the Vietnamese news sources of «Voice of Vietnam», «Thanh Niên», «Quân đội nhân dân» and the american media – «Voice of America», «CNN», «ABC news» from 2010 to 2018. The results identify the tendency of the US - Vietnam relations in the media.
