This work aims to examine the image of harassment in the modern media of Russia and the United States. The basis of the study is the theory of framing and frames, the main method is qualitative analysis of text units or, more specifically, frame analysis. The media included in the sample were divided into categories according to their political orientation - conservative, moderate or liberal. The analysis revealed that the discourse of liberal media in Russia is fundamentally different from the discourse of conservative and moderate media, but it is similar to the American media. At the same time, in the USA the differences between the categories of media are only in the degree of support for certain frames, and in general the media discourse is more homogeneous. In this paper, we present the theoretical foundations of the study and describe in detail the identified frames that shape the discourse around the harassment.
