This Master's dissertation is devoted to the development of a methodical approach to the projects selection for the manufacturing companies’ production system development. In order to determine the key features of internal development projects and the principles of their evaluation and selection, theoretical sources on this topic as well as best practices and cases of companies were analyzed. It was concluded that as the level of the company's production system develops, the nature of internal development projects become more technically complex, requiring higher qualifications and experience from the executors, as well as more time-consuming.Therefore, the model for determining the production profile has been developed and tested. The methodical approach was developed to select projects for the development of the company's production system for the “Advanced User” profile and was tested on the production process of submersible electric motors of Novomet-Perm JSC. The result of testing the methodological approach was the formation of a pool of potential projects recommended for inclusion in the program of projects for the development of the company's production system.
