Educational Programme: Business Informatics (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2019

The study conducted in this final qualifying work is devoted to an important topic in modern days - the development of a business plan for a startup. This project has a high practical significance for any person who wants to acquire new knowledge in the field of arts, as well as for teachers and authors of courses who, thanks to the platform, can increase their awareness and potentially attract new students. As part of the work, the following tasks were solved: • Elaboration of a startup mission; • Creating strategic goals of a startup; • Creating a strategic map based on the objectives obtained; • Prioritization of strategic objectives; • Determination of KPI and their target values; • Formation of strategic initiatives; • Formation and prioritization of projects aimed at achieving strategic goals based on strategic initiatives; • Formation of a limited-budget project portfolio; • Assessment of perceived risks. The relevance of the selected startup was also justified: people want to learn to play musical instruments or draw, but do not have enough time to do this. It was hypothesized that the developed startup will help people find and take time to their desires and join the art. To solve all the problems of prioritization, T. Saati’s hierarchy analysis method was used, which proved to be both easy to understand and as efficient as possible without requiring high costs. For the formation of KPIs and their target values, the Balanced Scorecard approach was used. KPIs are created for each task in all four areas considered in the MTP. To form a portfolio of projects, a linear programming problem is solved, which assembles a portfolio, maximizing the sum of the priorities of the projects included in it under the imposed budget constraint. Among other things, possible risks that a startup has a chance to face are presented and evaluated, and acceptable options for minimizing them are put forward.
