Blockchain-based Financial Instruments: Business Applications

Abstract to the graduation work of the student of the faculty of business and management of the program "Business Informatics" Malyavskaya Darya Sergeevna on theme "Blockchain-based Financial Instruments: Business Applications". The study analyzed the development of the implementation of blockchain tools in various business areas and the level of availability of these products in the Russian financial market in the field of insurance. The relevance of assessing the applicability of blockchain tools is to study the problem applicable to a particular insurance company. The object of the study is the tools that work on blockchain technology and are already used in various business. The subject of the study is the impact of the introduction of blockchain tools in insurance activities to optimize business processes. The purpose of this work is to provide recommendations confirmed by facts and calculations regarding the feasibility of replacing manual labor with blockchain technology for companies of the Russian insurance market. In Chapter 1, the principle of operation and popular technology protocols, the current situation in the blockchain industry in Russia and other countries are consistently considered, as well as examples and ideas for the implementation of the tool in the insurance industry and in the rest of the business as a whole. In the Chapter 2, a detailed immersion in the studied processes is carried out on the example of the insurance company, as well as the choice of notation in which they will be subsequently displayed. The Chapter 3 is the final of this study; it elaborates the target processes and calculates the economic effect of the implementation of the tool. The conclusion contains consequences regarding the work carried out. The volume of the thesis is 40 pages, including 10 figures and 2 tables. While writing the work were used 21 literature sources.
