Nowadays there is a growing interest in features of creative people; the way they are coping with stress and difficult life situations becoming more relevant for psychologists and educators. The current study aims to investigate the nature of the relationship between coping and creativity in the context of family conflicts. To reduce the influence of external, the sample was recruited from people who grew up in full families. Moreover, this condition is justified by the fact that at this point there is a lack of studies that focuses on coping behaviour in normative families. The study consists of two chapters; chapter one discusses the development of coping studies, explains the context of family conflicts and considers the theories and problems of creativity. Chapter two contains the description and results of empirical research. In order to investigate this topic, several complementary online questionnaires have been held. The sample was recruited in social networks; 182 people participated in the survey. Our results show a significant correlation between more active coping strategies and creativity level and between social distractions and creativity. No significant gender differences were identified. The findings could possibly have practical and theoretical implications for future projects in coping behavior.
