Japan has adopted several macroeconomic roles in the last century: after devastating results of World War, it had firstly recovered its own economy, and then started to develop the markets of neighboring countries. The work explores integration, including its stages, tools, institutions, factors influencing the processes of convergence of RIM countries, the role of Japan at its various stages in various organizations, Japan's initiatives, its role as an important or even the most important economic partner and driver of the region.

The full text of a thesis can be published in open access on the HSE website only if the authoring student (copyright holder) agrees, or, if the thesis was written by a team of students, if all the co-authors (copyright holders) agree.
