The topic of family in Russia arose quite sharply at the turn of the 19th century and was closely intertwined with religious Christian practice. The reason is not only that the church acted as the main institution that regulated the family and marriage sphere of relations, but also in the crisis of this approach and the crisis of the church institution itself as the regulator of family relations. Despite the fact that the problem in the institution of the family was obvious, few dealt with this issue. F.M. Dostoevsky and V.V. Rozanov - two main figures who have devoted their work to drawing attention to the crisis of the Christian family and finding ways to resolve the conflict between Christian attitudes and reality. The research examines and compares the work of the writer and philosopher in order to solve the crisis of the Christian family, to demonstrate a philosophical understanding of the phenomenon of the family and to show the relevance of the chosen topic at the present time.
