The Role of Media Innovations in Social Change

In the 21st century the role of explicit communication processes has risen dramatically with increased volumes of produced and consumed information due to the technological progress. Communication models structure information inflows and outflows to keep meaning in messages exchange processes are empowered by technologies. This paper examines the concept of media innovations with a sociotechnical approach to find an equilibrium between social needs and technological progress. Media innovations are able to help with extruding messages in the information noise, making them relevant to the audience and sharing in a technologically reproducible for the mass audience.
