The Evaluation of Inflation Indexed Bonds to Diversify the Investment Portfolio

In the framework of this work, we consider the recently appeared on the market of government securities OFZ-IN. The aim of the work is a theoretical and empirical study of the ability of Federal bonds with indexed par value to diversify the investment portfolio, protect the investor from inflation, and bring a stable income. In this regard, the study of the properties and characteristics of OFZ-IN, empirically demonstrates the ability of this investment instrument to diversify the portfolio of assets. The paper also assesses the recent appearance and issue of such government securities in the Russian Federation, studies their issue and foreign experience in the use of such indexed bonds.
