Orphans live in institutions and orphanages, where the state takes most of the daily care for life support. A child does not see how food is bought, where it is stored, how it is prepared, how much and what kind of kitchen utensils are used at home; a child doesn't have the knowledge about taxation and healthcare system. Such children come out of orphanages much less prepared for life than their peers brought up in families. The dangers posed by such a system of education are discovered after the teenager enters adulthood. Inability to build the budget leads to debts, stresses, causes frustration and conflicts with the outside world. In order to avoid these problems, the system of adaptive measures to prepare the teenager for an independent life outside the orphanage is needed. Such training in the future will help orphans to seamlessly integrate into Russian civil society and become active participants - liberated, confident in themselves and in their future. Indeed, the stability and harmonious development of our entire society will largely depend on how orphaned children are socially prepared and successfully able to integrate into society. This is what determines the relevance of this study. In this study, a review of the literature on the successful practices of including orphans into society in Germany is conducted, the author examines at what stage of this process Russia is currently in, what has already been done, what is planned and what changes are possible in the future. Particular attention is paid to the study of the role of NGOs, namely: the consequences of involving non-governmental organizations in the system of providing assistance to orphans for the children themselves, the state and society as a whole. In this paper, the main research question is: how can we best ensure the socialization of orphans and their integration into society? To answer this question, it is important to analyze what role NGOs and the state play in this process. The purpose of this study is to develop recommendations to improve the integration of orphans in society.
