ABSTRACT Implementation of the right of school students to an individual educational programme as a managerial task KEY WORDS: RIGHT OF SCHOOL STUDENTS, CURRICULUM, INDIVIDUAL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMME, INDIVIDUAL EDUCATION PLAN, TOOLS OF INDIVIDUALIZATION, ELEMENTS OF CURRICULUM The focus of the research paper is implementation of the right of school students to an individual educational programme. The novelty of the work is in the conceptualization of the notion ‘individual educational programme’ and its correlation with the school curriculum. The research was carried out on the base of a private school Unison, St. Petersburg, Russia. It was aimed to define the content of the managerial task to provide individualized learning of every student. The research describes tools and organizational conditions which enable individualization of the school curriculum, as well as possible models of individual educational programmes. The conditions should distinguish elements of the curriculum that can be individualized and provide participation of all the subjects of educational process in designing of an individual educational programme, the system of educational support and the system of assessment and evaluation of educational results. The survey, conducted among head teachers of state schools, showed that the right to an individual educational programme is implemented partially.
