The concept of crowdfunding has appeared quite recently; however, it has already managed to gain the interest and trust of the owners of the new start-ups and the investors of the small and middle-scale projects. The following master thesis focuses on one of four types of crowdfunding, namely, the reward-based crowdfunding. Offering to the backers the reward in exchange for their financial contribution, the reward-based crowdfunding brings the significant benefits to the both parties of the deal: the project owners and the funders. The author investigates the success factors of a reward-based crowdfunding project, analyzing the existing literature and creating their own theoretical framework. The empirical part of the master thesis is devoted to proving the validity of the proposed model of the success factors. The research is conducted in the form of surveys, which are spread among several groups, which represent different actors of crowdfunding. The results of the research support the created framework with the several adjustments and include the important practical implications both for the creators of the crowdfunding projects and the potential backers of the projects.
