The Influence of the Leadership Style on the Effectiveness of the Educational Systems Management

The complexity of the functions of modern educational systems requires new forms and methods of organizational and pedagogical activities, new management decisions, and the leader’s manifestation of leadership qualities. The problem of the case study is the mismatch of the results of education of schools that are in the same social context and have approximately the same macroscopic indicators. We set a goal to find out whether ordinary "average schools" have the potential to take higher positions in the education quality ratings, what factors affect the school efficiency and what the school principal should be, showing a positive dynamics of the development of the educational organization. The study, conducted on the example of five secondary schools in Obninsk, Kaluga region, identified and described the distinctive features of management styles, presented educational results, and determined the impact of various factors, including the management style, on the efficiency of the organization. The results of an educational organization, its image, demand and effectiveness are primarily influenced by the school principal's style of work in the number of positive indicators and characteristics in their optimal combination. The continuation of the case study is "The School Development Project with average results as a result of optimal performance of the leader school principal and his/her team".
