Structural and Content Model of Innovative Design-Oriented Education at the University

The purpose of master thesis is to develop a model of innovative design education. To achieve this goal, several stages have been carried out: the problems of design education have been identified and summarized; local and foreign experience has been studied; the relevance of developing a graduate competency model for the implementation of innovative design education has been substantiated taking into account the specifics and features of the educational environment and the resources of a technical university. Market research of consumers of educational services in the field of design has been carried out. A sociological survey has been conducted and the preferences of students concerning various areas of design have been studied. A psychological model of competencies demand has been developed and the importance (weight) of the educational program characteristics has been established. A concept of the design education development at universities has been proposed, and a competency model for a graduate has been introduced as well as directions for further studies have been identified.
