Demand of Smolensk State University in the Conditions of the Increasing of Educational Migration of Russian Youth

The master's thesis is devoted to the analysis of the demand for Smolensk state University in the conditions of increasing educational migration of young people and the development of an action plan based on it to increase the attractiveness of the University among potential applicants. During the pre-project study, a comprehensive approach was used to assess the factors that determine the University's ability to retain school graduates from the home region and attract applicants who received secondary education outside of it. In particular, the migration intentions and educational strategies of students of graduation classes of schools of the Smolensk region, established educational trajectories of graduates of schools of Smolensk and the Smolensk state University to place them in 2016 – 2018, the dynamics of the quality and quantity of University admission in the 2016 -2018 years, characterized the University's position in the regional market of educational services, the main competitors of Smolensk state University in the region and beyond. In addition, students ' loyalty to the University is recorded as a cumulative indicator of the University's assessment, broadcast by real consumers of educational services. The analysis made it possible to develop an action plan (road map) to increase the demand for the University.
