Peculiarities of Vocabulary, Phraseology and Syntax in Appearance Description in Series "A Sportsman`s Sketches" by I.S. Turgenev

The aim of the research is to find the patterns of descriptions of appearances in “A Sportsman`s Sketches”. The target of the research is portrait`s descriptive fragments. The syntax and lexis peculiarities of portrait are investigated in this work. We have analyzed a number of variants of syntax organization of appearance`s descriptions: the complex syntactic unites, particular sentences, the fragment of the sentence. The certain chapter of the research is devoted to lexical and phraseological peculiarities of the descriptive fragments. We have defined the main lexical and thematic groups of the descriptions of appearances and variations of attitudinal language. Key words: I.S.
