Cooperation between Venezuela and China in the Energy Sector During the Nicolas Maduro Government (2013-2019)

This work analyzes the energy cooperation between the People's Republic of China and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the period of Nicolás Maduro's government (2013-2019). In the article, the author analyzes the problems that both countries face in the face of the US political and geostrategic position. As a result of the analysis of energy and economic relations, the author shows that China's support for Venezuela is represented by solidarity, common interests, respect for sovereignty and in the fight for a multipolar world. The presence of China in Venezuela is determined under the policy of diplomacy for peace and the self-determination of the peoples.
